Ashley Geddes – Apprentice Teacher

Senior student Ashley Geddes has trained at Move With Grace Dance Studio Cambridge for 5 years with a primary concentration in Ballet. She joined our Apprentice Teaching program in 2010 to help her expand her skills to include instruction.
Ashley’s focus and dedication to the art allowed her to travel extensively for performance and competition. Her competitive wins have earned her multiple overall placements and awards including the “Be Discovered” scholarship in 2011. She trains and competes in multiple disciplines, however also being proficient in Jazz, Tap, Hip Hop and Lyrical styles.
Miss Geddes was one of a handfull of ambasadors from Canada asked by the Cuban government to perform on the stage of the Grand Ballet Theatre of Havana with the National Ballet of Cuba in 2010, the first non Cuban or Russian performers on that stage in over 50 years. She performed the role of the Chinese in the Nutcracker that year.
In 2011 Ashley was asked to join Team Canada for Ballet at the IDO World Dance Championships in Poland, where they won the Gold Medal for Ballet against Russia in the finals.
Miss Ashley was accepted to the Pre-professional program at the Quinte Ballet, where she worked with some of the best instructors in Canada to expand her repetoire and develope her flourishing balletic skills.
